Going to the theater and watching a play can be an amazing experience. The lights, the music, the costumes, the stage props, and backgrounds make it all come together. And that's what this class is about, Behind The Scenes! This class will introduce the students to everything that happens to put on the play.

Around the World Food and Culture |

Welcome to Around the World Food and Culture! Here, you will go on an amazing adventure to other countries and learn about the foods from these far off and exotic places. You will learn the importance of each dish and why it is a staple for those countries. Your palate will be amazed by all the different flavors that are unique to each country. Students will also receive recipes to include, but not limited to, gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian.

This history enrichment program will encourage school students to “read, write, discuss, and enjoy history’’ outside the classroom. Our members will be involved in a rich array of history-related activities.

In this fun and interactive class, each week students will explore a different country and learn about its history and geography through hands on activities such as music, games, and arts and crafts. Students will also learn about the rich traditions of other cultures, as we explore different celebrations and holidays, traditional tales, inventions, and more. All aboard!

InspireCraft is a private and secure Minecraft server created just for our homeschool members. Each week the kids will work on a different theme as a group. Minecraft enhances creativity, problem-solving, self-direction, collaboration, and other life skills. Everyone participating must have a laptop. Not a Chromebook; it doesn't run Minecraft.

This class will not just focus on one particular language, but will rather dive into many different languages. We will travel all around the world and learn some words, sayings, rhymes, songs, and even accents in this fun class!

Learn Math Fast is a fun, interactive math course that will have the kids having fun while they learn. We will use the work from the book, and apply real-life situations to understand and solve the problems.

We will explore various, famous artists while learning different techniques using mediums such as pencil, paint, clay, drawing, pastels, charcoals, and mosaic. You will be exposed to many styles of music, as there is a strong connection between music and art. This unique program will allow free expression while exploring your inner artist. Included is all the inspiration needed to complete each masterpiece.

Lego Ed is designed to provide students with a robust STEAM learning experience. Students will explore everything from math and physical science to coding and engineering. Students will build in teams using Education SPIKE Prime sets and BricQ Motion Prime sets. This class will ensure students have access to hands-on STEAM education.

This class will explore pre drafting skills and introduce students to the basics of design. Each week we will work on a new design using our drafting pencils, rulers, protractors and a whole lot of inspiration. Your young developer will have a blast making their creations come to life!

Discover the impact of ocean trash on marine life & learn how to help! Throughout the year you will explore the ocean levels and organisms that inhabit them, get inspired by exploring famous scientists, all while participating in various hands on projects and excursions.

In this class, we will read and discuss stories (upper elementary). Students will be given the opportunity to develop a love of reading and to think deeply about what they’ve read. Students will be responsible for completing assigned reading outside of class. Parents are responsible for supplying the books. Have you ever wanted to play in a band? This class will teach you the basic elements of music, including theory and reading notes, and you will have the opportunity to try many different instruments each semester.

What is the best way to solve a mystery? By using the Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning technique. A claim that answers the question. Evidence from students' data. Reasoning that involves a rule or scientific principle that describes why the evidence supports the claim.

This Scratch course provides an introduction to creative computing with Scratch, using a design-based learning approach. You MUST have your own laptop for this course, as you will be imputing the directions for the Edison Robots to fulfill.

A chorus is a group of organized singers. You will learn vocal warm-ups, good listening skills, how to stay on pitch, and how to use your breath correctly. We will have a lot of fun exploring different genres of music, while sharing our unique voices, and learning how we can use them together to make a great song!

Strategy games are more than just a playtime activity, strategy games provide a unique perspective on life. This is a general study of the techniques of interscholastic debate. Students are involved in detailed and extensive analysis of debate theory and technique with application of skills in competition. Help in guiding and developing novice debaters is an inherent part of the class work.

This class will teach students about the many native species within our Florida ecosystem. Students will develop a better understanding of the importance of being able to identify, care for, and protect these plants and animals.

In this class, we will learn fun facts about famous people, places, and things throughout history. But the students won't know the subject each week until the end of class...unless they can guess before time runs out.

Whose Line Is It? |
This class is designed for students who have an interest in learning the basics of nutrition, how food affects the body, and food preparation. Course instruction will center around the components of a healthy diet. Each week the class will end with the students learning and doing a new yoga pose.

In this improvisation class, students will learn the rules of improv and practice them using comedic games and performances. Throughout our improv games and activities, students will retrain their brains to actively listen, communicate (both verbally and physically), and respond quickly in the moment! We will foster imagination, collaboration, and confidence while we use team-building techniques to become a strong comedic unit.

This course takes the student's knowledge of arithmetic and extends it by introducing the concepts of variables and functions. These new concepts allow students to solve a range of problems involving unknown quantities in areas such as geometry, probability and statistics, and various real-world scenarios.

The purpose of this course is to empower every student with the opportunity to perform, create, respond, and connect with music. We will learn to read traditional music notation and play various instruments. This class will be especially useful for individuals contemplating a career in music or planning to major or minor in music in college.

Economics is the study of how societies use limited resources to satisfy their unlimited wants and needs. It is the foundation of this course as students learn how decisions about the four factors of production–land, labor, capital, and entrepreneurship–are made. Key topics covered include: law of supply and demand; saving, borrowing, and spending; the Federal Reserve System and the money supply; and the role of government in an open market economy.

The PERT is intended to assess your readiness for college-level coursework. While it is not a college-entrance exam, its purpose is to determine whether or not you have sufficient command of basic math, reading and writing to successfully complete freshman-level core courses.

The Geometry course is a comprehensive look at the study of geometric concepts including the basic elements of geometry, proofs, parallel and perpendicular lines, the coordinate plane, triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, circles, trigonometry, congruence and similarity, surface area, volume and transformations.

In this class we will explore the ideas, theories, and methods of the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. Students will examine the concepts of psychology through reading and discussion and you’ll analyze data from psychological research studies.

This class is an introduction to reading and analyzing different genres of literature: fiction, poetry, drama, and influential songs. The course will also include creative nonfiction. Students will respond critically to readings of different historical and cultural contexts through class discussion and written evidence-based literary arguments.

Students will learn about the key events that impacted the history of the world from ancient times to current events. Students will examine how classical civilizations progressed, then move toward social and economic revolutions, and end with an in depth study of modern history.
