Jason Rhodes: Homeschool Core Class, Musical Wellness, and Percussion Instructor
Cristine Rhodes: Early Learning, Homeschool Core Class, and AMT Instructor

Inspire Studios was created by musical wellness educators Jason and Cristine Rhodes. "There are three elements to Inspire Studios; private music lessons, homeschool enrichment programs, and our performing arts programs. Each element was inspired by our own children. Combining our experience in music and arts, along with homeschooling our children, including a son with autism, is why we created a place where all children, no matter age or ability, can go to find, explore, and further their interest and love in the arts. Whether you come to learn an instrument, take our homeschool classes, or perform on stage, Inspire is the place to suit your needs." Jason and Cristine also founded The Inspire Foundation, a nonprofit that raises money for music and art programs for children with special needs. Some of their accomplishments are:
  • Chosen as an 'Everyday Hero' by Bay News 9 for his work with The Inspire Foundation
  • Voted 'Hometown Heroes' by WTIS and host Peter O'Shea
  • Awarded the 'Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition' for outstanding and invaluable service to the community

Meet Our Staff

Picture
Sage Rhodes: Ukulele, Voice, and Early Learning Teacher
Sage’s musical journey began at the age of two, and by five, she was already taking violin lessons. Over the years, she expanded her skills to include piano, ukulele, guitar, drums, and more. In addition to her instrumental talents, Sage has performed in numerous musical theater productions. She has a natural ability to connect with younger students, creating lessons that are both fun and engaging. With experience volunteering and working with neurodiverse children, Sage brings patience, creativity, and understanding to every session. Sage is currently pursuing a degree in behavioral psychology.

Emily Hammond: Piano, Guitar, and Violin Teacher and Private Tutor

From a young age, Emily has been an avid and capable learner in any area to which she sets her mind. At age 4, she began taking piano lessons, and at age 8, she taught herself to play the ukulele. This was the catalyst for her interest and dedication to many other instruments, including the violin, the guitar, and the mandolin. Emily shows equal prowess and has teaching experience in the more traditional "left brain" areas such as math, english, and science.

Joshua Hammond: Tech Teacher
Joshua Hammond has been tinkering with computers for as long as he can remember. His father teaches high-level computer classes, and for many of his early years, Joshua sat in the room playing games and absorbing technology information. Like any other (sane) person, lol, Joshua takes some free time and spends it gaming and coding. He is self taught in several programming languages. While he is always ready to try a new one, he is proficient in many, including Scratch, and the website language, JavaScript. He's been playing games like Minecraft for quite a while and has a wealth of information to share.

Picture
Summer Hayes: Theater Director and Voice
Summer Hayes has over 20 year of experience in theatre both on and off the stage. Over the years Summer has performed in numerous musical productions playing characters from Maria in The Sound of Music and Sandy in Grease, to Sally in YAGMCB, and Eve in Children of Eden. As a member of Indiana University's premiere show choir, The Singing Hoosiers, Summer toured the country.
As a theatre and vocal instructor, Summer has coached students for regional and state competitions, established the Garden City Musical Theater Club, and directed and choreographed multiple performances for youth from the elementary to the high school level.

Hannah Jackson: Homeschool Instructional Teacher
Hannah is a music and elementary education teacher with experience teaching guitar, ukulele, and leading rock camps since 2021. She also works as a substitute teacher in Pasco County, teaching grades Pre-K through 5 and adapting lessons for all learners, including students on the spectrum. Building on four years of classroom experience and her training in the New Teacher Academy at River Ridge High School, she is now pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, with graduation expected in 2027."

Picture
Kate Thomas: High School Teacher
Kate comes to Inspire following three years of teaching experience in Pasco County Schools, primarily at the middle school level. She has a degree from Penn State University in Business Administration. Prior to working in public education, Ms. Kate enjoyed a long career in Human Resources, focusing on Leadership Development, College Recruitment, Employee Relations, and more. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, she has lived and worked all over the globe and currently resides in Odessa with her husband and two children, Ellie (11) and John (6). Ms. Kate's interests include Italian cuisine; historical non-fiction; 80’s karaoke; the Pittsburgh Penguins NHL team; musical theatre, and advocating for neurodiversity, as she is neurodiverse herself.
