Enrichment Program Descriptions
Below is a list of our programs and their descriptions. Our enrichment programs are offered Monday and Tuesdays (Land O' Lakes location) and Thursdays (Wesley Chapel location) from September – May. We offer programs for ages 7+, Early Learning programs for ages 4+, and Core Credit Classes for high schoolers.
Advanced Bucket Drums (Limited to fifteen)
This class will be taught with two main tools...drumsticks and buckets. You will learn how to read basic rhythm patterns, and will learn about accents, flams, cross sticking, and other rudiments to be able to improvise with all of our favorite songs and music. This class works on fine motor skills and bilateral coordination. This inclusive program is free for children with special needs.
American Girl (Limited to ten)
The American Girl class is based on the American Girl books. This is a fun, hands-on, early elementary class where the kids will learn about the American Girl Doll characters, their story, and history, through arts and crafts, games, and activities.
Ancient Civilizations (Limited to fifteen)
Explore the fascinating achievements of ancient civilizations and experience the various aspects of life through creative, hands-on activities. You will learn how civilizations began and grew, as well as the different aspects that make them unique, including leaders, laws, money, work, language, art, architecture, and cities.
Animal Kingdom (Limited to fifteen)
There are so many living organisms on earth that we are bound to cover your favorite, and discover a few new ones. While on this journey we will create, listen, see, and discover so many amazing facts about some of the world's most unique creatures. From lions and elephants, to flies and snakes, we will discover how they all live with each other, and how some are enemies of each others!
Around the World Cooking and Culture (Limited to ten)
Welcome to Around the World Cooking! Here, you will go on an amazing adventure to other countries and learn about the foods from these far off and exotic places. You will learn the importance of each dish and why it is a staple for those countries. Your palate will be amazed of all the different flavors that are unique to each country. Members will also receive recipes to include but not limited to gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian. Please provide a list of allergens so that everyone can be included in this cooking adventure.
Around The World In 180 Days (Limited to fifteen)
We are traveling all around the world to visit some of our favorite countries, and to discover some new ones. We will learn about their environments, cultures, food, music, landmarks, and much more. All aboard!
Art (Limited to fifteen)
We will explore various, famous artists while learning different techniques using mediums such as pencil, paint, clay, drawing, pastels, charcoals, and mosaic. You will be exposed to many styles of music, as there is a strong connection between music and art. This unique program will allow free expression while exploring your inner artist. Included are all the tools and inspiration needed to complete each masterpiece.
Astronomy (Limited to fifteen)
Explore the stars with hands-on experiments and crafts. What is a star? What is a constellation? Can a star lose its light? Are new stars born? Come find out the answers to these questions, and many more, as we reach for the stars!
Autism Movement Therapy (Limited to fifteen)
AMT is a combination of movement, music, and sensory integration to increase communication between both sides of the brain. Parents and siblings are encouraged to participate in the classes.
Beginner Band Bucket Drums (Limited to ten)
This course will dive into the art of making beats. The kids will learn all of the basic note values, patterns, and drum beats and will use bucket drums to perform together as a group.
Beginner Band Recorder (Limited to ten)
In this course, your child will learn the basics of music, including reading notes, understanding beginner music notation, and timing. We will use recorders to perform as a group.
Beginner Business Lemonade War (Limited to ten)
Book Club (Limited to fifteen)
You and your friends will discover great books, share new stories, explore important topics, and have some bookish fun! This club will come to life with discussions, arts and crafts, and activities.
Canvas Club (Limited to ten)
Together, we will paint using acrylic paint. Each painting is broken down into easy-to-follow steps, yet with plenty of built-in opportunities for you to add your own personal touch.
Childhood of Famous Americans (Limited to fifteen)
Chorus (Limited to twenty)
A chorus is a group of organized singers. You will learn vocal warm-ups, good listening skills, how to stay on pitch, and how to use your breath correctly. We will have a lot of fun exploring different genres of music, while sharing our unique voices, and learning how we can use them together to make a great song!
Coding (Limited to fifteen)
This program will join together a group of homeschoolers who love to code. They will play games, create, engage in project based learning we will enrich your understanding of content through real-world applications, project based learning, tips and tricks, game play, and peer based discussions. Everyone participating must have a laptop.
Cookie Jar Forensic Mystery (Limited to fifteen)
This fun, interactive, project-oriented forensic science program is designed to engage students in this truly fascinating area of science! You will become immersed in roles as crime scene investigators as you work together examining and analyzing evidence needed to solve the mystery of the broken cookie jar!
Draw Cute Kawaii Animals (Limited to fifteen)
Giant eyes, rounded shapes, and simplistic features are hallmarks of one of the cutest forms of art. It's known as "kawaii", coming from the Japanese word for cute, and has been adopted into a subculture that can be found worldwide. Scalable graphics lend themselves perfectly to the style being graphic and bold. Your child will learn how to draw and customize this art form.
Draw Your Favorite Animals (Limited to fifteen)
This class emphasizes developing an understanding of the shapes of wildlife and domestic animals. Students will learn to construct skeletons as well as render fur and reptilian skin. There is also an exploration of form and perspective while portraying gestures and expressions.
DIY Science & Experiments (Limited to fifteen)
This program will teach the scientific method through mixing, creating, and experimenting with common household materials. These unique, hands-on experiences are as entertaining as they are educational, and will inspire the imagination and make learning fun.
Ecosystems (Limited to fifteen)
An ecosystem includes all of the living things (plants, animals, and organisms) in a given area, interacting with each other, and also with their non-living environments (weather, earth, sun, soil, climate, atmosphere). This hands-on program will help you understand how absolutely interconnected all life forms in an ecosystem are.
Escape Room (Limited to fifteen)
If you want to have a successful escape, you will have to find hidden clues and solve challenging puzzles throughout the room. Everything you see is a potential clue. There may also be riddles waiting to be solved. Be careful, you might even learn something along the way!
Five in a Row (Limited to ten)
Fix it! Grammar (Limited to fifteen)
Understanding grammar and being able to edit it can be a daunting task, but with Fix it! Grammar, you will have FUN learning with games, mystery questions, word scavenger hunts, edit endeavours, and more!
Foreign Language Club Limited to fifteen)
Our language club offers a great way for homeschool kids to get together and enrich their spanish skills. Each week is customized to the level and interests of the group.
Human Body (Limited to fifteen)
From DNA, to bones, to how we see the world around us, this class will focus on the human body and what makes it tick! Trivia: Which of these organs can grow back again if some of it is removed? Brain, kidney, liver, or heart? *Answer below
InspireCraft (Limited to fifteen)
InspireCraft is a private and secure Minecraft server created just for our homeschool members. Each week the kids will work on a different theme as a group. Minecraft enhances creativity, problem-solving, self-direction, collaboration, and other life skills. Everyone participating must have a laptop. Not a Chromebook; it doesn't run Minecraft.
Learn Math Fast: Algebra (Limited to fifteen)
If you're doing Algebra 1 at home, this enrichment program is just for you. During each meeting, we will enrich your understanding of content through real-world applications, project based learning, tips and tricks, game play, and peer based discussions.

If you're doing Geometry at home, this enrichment program is just for you. During each meeting, we will enrich your understanding of content through real-world applications, project based learning, tips and tricks, game play, and peer based discussions.
Letter Sounds & Numbers Using our Five Senses (Limited to ten)
During this program each child will have a fun time using music, art, and science in a multi-sensory way to learn letters, numbers, and beginner writing skills, all while learning and playing together and independently.
Literature (Limited to fifteen)
During this program we will learn to read and analyze a variety of types of literature, from short stories and novels to nonfiction, drama, and poetry.
Little Inventors (Limited to ten)

We will explore all four musical instrument families as we take this journey through Musicland. This hands-on course will let each child engage in their natural curiosity with music.
Little Performers (Limited to ten)
This course will have your kids dancing, singing, and acting out their favorite songs and characters. This is an introduction to musical theater.
Little Picassos (Limited to ten)
This program will allow your early learners to discover their passion in all aspects of art. They will use paints, clay, chalk, and more!
Marine Life (Limited to fifteen)
Discover the impact of ocean trash on marine life & learn how to help! Throughout the year you will explore the ocean levels and organisms that inhabit them, get inspired by exploring famous scientists, all while participating in various hands on projects and excursions.
Medieval Times (Limited to fifteen)
The Middle Ages, or Medieval Times, in Europe was a long period of history from 500 AD to 1500 AD. Great leaders such as Joan of Arc and Charlemagne were part of the Middle Ages, as well as major events such as the Black Plague and the rise of Islam. We will explore weapons and warfare, literature, architecture, nations, and much more.
Micronations (Limited to fifteen)
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to create your own country? Well, that is what a micronation is all about. Your will learn what it takes to rule over your own empire, all while inventing your own government, money, language, map, flag, culture, holidays, and much more.
Mindfulness, Yoga, & Physical Education (Limited to fifteen)
In this fun and engaging program, children will stretch, move, and grow physically, socially and emotionally as they learn to connect within as well as with others, while having a ton of fun.
Minute to Win it (Limited to fifteen)
This fast-paced experience encourages quick thinking and refined skills. Each week you will take part in a series of 60-second challenges that use objects that are commonly available around the house.
Music and Performing Arts (Limited to ten)
This interactive, hands-on program will encourage your child’s natural interest in music and arts. Your child will learn the basics of music, explore each instrument family, express themselves through music and movement, and experience the art of live performance.
Odyssey of the Mind Homeschool Team (Limited to fifteen)
The Odyssey of the Mind program promotes creativity by challenging teams to solve divergent problems, that is, those with more than one solution. By working in teams, participants learn teamwork, the appreciation and understanding of others, and that a group is a more powerful thinking force than an individual.
Phonemic Awareness (Limited to ten)
During this program each child will have a fun time using music, games, crafts, rhyming, stories, and drumming. They will hear, identify, and manipulate individual sounds, gaining the essential knowledge needed to learn to read print.
Photography (Limited to fifteen)
Capturing the elements of art through a lense! Each week you will have a different project, all while learning the basics of photography. You will also be exposed to the works of famous photographers and artists from around the world. Everyone participating must have a camera that allows you to adjust the shutter speed, aperture, and ISO.
RockSchool (Limited to fifteen)
Do you ever pretend you're on stage in front of thousands of admiring fans? Each month, you will be exposed to different instruments and different genres leading up to a final show at the end of the semester for family and friends to enjoy.
Roman Mysteries (Limited to fifteen)

Focus on developing your drawing skills and learn a few tips and tricks along the way! Each week, you and your friends will work with a variety of drawing materials and share ideas, all while getting better at what you love…making cool artwork!
Song Writing (Limited to fifteen)
There are many subcategories to creative writing, and one of the favorites is writing songs. This course is designed to help with lyrical composition and story-telling. It will end with a recording of the song each student writes.
Space Explorers (Limited to fifteen)
This program is for those who love NASA, rocketry, technology, STEAM and everything space. Our Space Explorers will play games, create, invent, discover, and much more!
Stagecraft (Limited to fifteen)
This course will explore the technical aspect of theatrical, film, and video production. It includes constructing and rigging scenery; hanging and focusing of lighting; design and procurement of costumes; make-up; stage management; audio engineering; and procurement of props.
Star Wars: Surviving Political History (Limited to fifteen)
Politics is the set of activities associated with the governance of a country, state or an area. It involves making decisions that apply to groups of members. In modern nation-states, people often form political parties to represent their ideas. This course will take a journey to a galaxy far, far away. We will show how Star Wars characters and events were shaped by politics.
Strategy Games (Limited to fifteen)
This homeschool game club will give you and your peers the opportunity to share basic to advanced game knowledge in a fun, supportive, and personal setting. Strategy games are more than just a playtime activity, strategy games provide a unique perspective on life. You will not only learn how to become better players, but also how to take a strategic approach to life’s challenges. Whether you win or lose there is always an opportunity to learn and improve.
Ted Talks (Limited to fifteen)
Ted Talks is all about spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks. The goal of this class is to make great ideas accessible and spark conversation. We will learn how to pick the ideas, do the research, and present the findings. You got something to say about that? Perfect. Let's talk.
Test Drive America (Limited to ten)
Creativity and American Geography have collided, creating a fun-filled and memorable learning experience. Your child will feel like they have visited all 50 states as they have a blast dancing, acting, cooking, growing, crafting, and even using science as they explore the Good Ole' US of A.
US History (Limited to fifteen)
This US History enrichment program will encourage middle and high school students to “read, write, discuss, and enjoy history’’ outside the classroom. Our members will be involved in a rich array of history-related activities.
